Hurricane: The pastry shop of our recollections / 75 years of history

Series: Cyprus’ Intangible Cultural Heritage

Paying homage to the neighbourhood hosting it for the past 32 years, the Cultural Foundation launches an annual tribute to traditional artisans and trained craftsmen enlivening the city centre with their work. The tribute makes part of a wider study and research on intangible cultural heritage, traditional crafts in particular.
This series of events opens with a lecture on the 75 years of contribution on behalf of Hurricane traditional pastry shop. The lecture will present the history of the shop, supplemented by details and photographic material. The audience will then be hosted to a reception prepared by “Hurricane” itself.
