Risky Τravels - Pafos2017

A joint exhibition of works by the Greek Cypriot artist Andy Hadjiadamos and the Turkish Cypriot artist Baki Bogac, proving that art has no borders and that artists can go beyond disputes, borders or any other obstacle. Baki Bogac, architect and sculptor, discovered and saved sculptures, paintings, photos and other objects belonging to Andy Hadjiadamos which were left behind when his family was fled from their home in 1974. In 1993, the artworks were finally delivered back to the family of Andy Hatziadamou in Pafos. Ironically, Andy had passed away in 1990, aged 54. Andy’s family kept in touch with Baki and they invited him to Pafos to participate in a joint exhibition with Andy Hadjiadamo’s works out of gratitude for having safeguarded Hatziadamou’s works of art. The authors of the theoretical background research of the exhibition are Thanos Stathopoulos and Kostas Prapoglou. Curated by Sergis Hadjiadamos and Yiannis Sakellis.
