Through its three seemingly unrelated three acts, the play deals with the problems facing the average person in today’s society. Act 1: A man visits a clothing store and interacts with a saleswoman. Act 2: A patient visits a doctor. Act 3:  Four strangers get stuck in an elevator. Director Magdalena Zira notes: “in this play the comic element coexists with absolute existential anguish. Unexpected violence and extreme competitiveness underlie the simplest and seemingly innocent every-day transactions. The writer imagines a future dystopia, which seems to be very close, where a mysterious ‘institution’ creates fear and insecurity among its citizens. In this environment, terror governs the mundane every-day life where cannibalism appears to be the likely result of corrupted relationships. In this play we see ourselves through a distorting mirror: we might laugh at what we see, but we may also be terrified.
