ARCHÆOMUSICA - Pafos2017

‘Music is the “sound-evidence” of Europe’s ancient common roots’

Music can sometimes reveal little known facts about ancient civilizations. It created a network of relationships and points of contact among European peoples long before we became aware of this common identity.
This exhibition, which includes multimedia features and interactive installations with the use of 3D technology, allows visitors to admire and fully experience the prodigious reality of the ancient musical instruments and their amazing journey through time and space from the origins of the European musical tradition. The exhibition ARCHÆOMUSICA tours Europe stops in Pafos this summer. The mosaics of the Roman music scenes depicted here were the inspiration for the exhibition in Cyprus.
