The Cyprus Historic & Classic Motor Club (LIKOK), pioneers once again and is about to offer more competitive action to its participants. Likok club is proudly announcing the organization of Classic Cars Regularity Championship for 2017.
It is the very first time in Cyprus a Classic Car Regularity Championship is taking place, as such a championship has never been organized.
All the proceeds from the Championship will be donated to charitable institutions and organizations.
The classic car championship will consist of four (4) regularity events which LIKOK organizes annually and which will count towards the championship.
These regularity events will be one day or two days and may include driving tests sessions.
All classic cars must be over 25years to be eligible to participate. Non LIKOK members are eligible to participate.
The Championship Calendar it is as follows:
1.Spring Regularity Challenge 2017, One day competition on 9th of April 2017.
2.International Regularity Challenge 2017, Two days competition on the 24th and 25th of June 2017.
3.Theotokos Regularity Challenge 2017, One day competition on 15th of October 2017
4.Christmas Regularity Challenge 2017, One day competition on 10th of December 2017
Drivers and co-drivers, will be scored separately and collect points in each challenge depending on their ranking position. Champion will be declared the driver and co driver with the highest score in all four challenges.
At the end of the season, at a special ceremony, the champions will be announced and the will receive their awards. The first three drivers and co – drivers overall, will receive beyond the cup, a financial reward.
Additionally, the winners of the individual categories will receive beyond the cup, free entries to next year’s events.
Last but not least, all the friends of the club will be given the opportunity to participate to the events without competing for the championship, and conventional vehicles will also be allowed to participate as category X.
The premiere for the first regularity challenge of the Classic Car Championship is approaching and it will be held on April 9 with the Spring Regularity Challenge 2017 and preparations are already in full progress. More information will be released soon.
