With the slogan “Culture Roofed by the Sky”, Faneromeni 17, the Arts Festival launched last year, returns to Old Lefkosia. The festival is organised and hosted by the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation.
Faneromeni 17 presents a multifaceted programme featuring local and international participations. From mid-June to the end of September, the courtyard of the Cultural Foundation is set to become the most vibrant nucleus of culture in the old city of Lefkosia.
Through a unique amalgamation of arts, eras and artists from different fields, one that makes the best of the Cultural Foundation’s rich history, a series of events is addressed to all ages for every taste, with free admission.

Aiming primarily to promote art and, more particularly, contemporary artistic creation, the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation has invited artists and creators to step up to the podium and show their work, promote their messages, work with other artists to exchange views and ideas, therefore breaking down frontiers and restrictions between languages, arts and genres. At the same time, Faneromeni 17 proposes performances that bring out views of the history of Cyprus and examines the island’s interaction with its surrounding European space, thus putting together a feast that will run for four months at the centre of Old Lefkosia.
The nights of the events, the Foundation's museums and exhibitions will remain open until midnight.
