Located in the Lemesos district, the small, traditional village of Lania sits in an altitude of 570 metres on the Troodos mountain range, just 25 km from Lemesos town. The village can be reached by following B8 road.
Lania is known as "the artists village" and for good reason with a number of critically acclaimed artists having small galleries in the village where originals and prints can be purchased. The village also is home to a jewellery maker with an original range of items, a interiors/ homeware boutique boasting a wide range of chalk paints and a well stocked grocery store. Painting tuition is provided for all levels of ability in the local workshop & if you ever wanted to breathe new life into tired furniture, you may wish to attend one of the local chalk paint up-cycling workshops.
On 13 and 14 of October visit the village for the LANIA PAINTERS weekend with the artists John Corbidge, Michael Owen, Antonis Rizopoulos and Pat Thompson.
