It is a traditional ceramic workshop and a culture heritage campaign activities of Geroskipou Municipality summer 2017 events.
It is under the auspices of Geroskipou Municipality and the Cyprus Ceramic Association with the collaboration of Augoustinos Kontos and Andreas Fasoulides.

The main cause of this activities are to revive and demonstrate the traditional technique of making big ceramic jars for wine and a distiller for zivania.
The main objectives of the event is to raise awareness of Cypriots for the value of having and preserving Cyprus ceramic wine jars as important cultural heritage for present and future generations of this country.
To achieve our goals and objectives we will have the following activities:
● Demonstration of creating Cyprus ceramic jars will be held at Augoustinos Kontos workshop in Geroskipou between August and September 2017. The admission is free to the public and organized groups of visitors.
● During the workshop daily program we will offer varies of regular traditional and modern pottery ceramics classes in organized and casual visitors, children and adults.
● The workshop will be open daily from 9:00 until 13:00 and from 16:00 until 19:00.
● Also includes: spectacular firing of the jurs with wood in a mud brick kilns and it will be held in the sculpture park that launches the Municipality of Geroskipou at 26 September 2017.
● During the firing processes we will present a documentary about ceramic jars around the world, followed by raising debate on special cultural value of the Cyprus jar.
The workshop is friendly to apprentices and or internships through ERASMUSINTERN program.
